Regenard pointed his rifle past Izanami. Five bullets were fired. Five dead bodies.
"It's done. And you're not allowed to go risking your life out here. I'm the brave little soldier boy who's supposed to come marching home. If any of us is stained by blood during this war, it's me," Regenard said, setting his rifle down and again gazing at Izanami.

Izanami sighed.
"You asked me to help you in your revolution, but you won't let me fight at all?" She shook her head. "You sound like how my father did. When I told him I couldn't be his little girl forever... That was the first time I ever saw him cry."
She gazed up to him.
"I can fight. Just let me try. Once."

"Izanami," Regenard said seriously, "I can't lose the only family I've ever had."
He leaned over and kissed her.

Izanami closed her eyes and kissed him in return.
This was the moment she had wanted for so long. Her heart sprinted. Her stomach twisted. Her mind exploded.

Gaia smiled a little at the man. "Thanks." She said quickly. "Do you know why Regenard's here?" She wanted everyone except Jun to leave. She hated to admit it, but she didn't want him here. She remembered when he kissed her in the sewers, That kiss was the worst kiss she'd ever gotten. It burned her and fueled her anger. "He's still going on about revolution, isn't he?"

"Not just going on about it. He started it. Revolution is at hand, my dear..." He trailed off momentarily, a deep look of mourning in his eyes.
He regained his composure and smiled at her.
"But combat has always been my job. I guess this is good for me."

Regenard pulled away after awhile.
"Promise me you'll stay safe, Izanami," he said in a hushed voice.

Izanami gazed into his eyes.
"Only if you promise me the same." She whispered in return.

Regenard smiled.
"I can promise to try," he said quietly, squeezing her hand lightly.

Izanami smiled softly.
"I'll take it," she agreed quietly, squeezing his hand back.
She had never been so quiet with someone, yet had so much communication all at the same time.

Regenard smiled at her, truly happy.
"I'm sorry I dragged you into this," he said, regret suddenly hitting him.

"Don't be sorry, Regenard." Izanami sighed softly, stroking his cheek.
"I'm happy that you've included me. It's told me that you trust me."

"Of course I trust you, Izanami. I..." Regenard began, cutting himself off before finishing. He smiled and shook his head.
"This feeling is unfamiliar."

Izanami smiled. "It is to me as well, Regenard." She whispered.
"But we can figure it all out together, if you're willing to keep me around."

Back inside Aaron's room, Junichi sat with her back pressed against the door on the floor. To say she was angry would be an understatement - she was furious. How could Gaia have left her in here? Let alone, lock the door and prevent her from getting out! She was blind for Pete's sake! Sure, she could probably sense where she was going and whatnot, but she wouldn't be able to get out. She wasn't familiar with these surroundings and there was no telling what was in this room. She could accidentally step on something sharp and bleed to death! She was just trying to protect you, the more rational side of her thought. Letting out a sigh, she rubbed her eyes. The only thing stopping her from yelling out and calling for Gaia was the fact that she had sounded so scared when she had told her to stay. What was she so afraid of?

Gaia bit her lip. "I'll be back," she said quickly and ran to the door, unlocking it and going inside, tripping over Jun. She quickly regained herself and stood up, shutting the door. She helped Jun up and hugged her tightly. She didn't ever want to let her go away, Jun was hers now, Letting her go was something that would be like a sin to Gaia. "We're running. We're climbing out the window and we won't stop running until I'm sure we're safe."

Junichi yelped as she was tripped over but said nothing. As she was pulled into an embrace, she immediately recognized Gaia's scent. As soon as Gaia said those words, all of Junichi's anger vanished. "Alright," she said softly. She then winced, "I might need some help climbing out the window, though."

Gaia softened and kissed Jun's forehead. "No worries," She decided it'd be better if she climbed out first and let Jun jump onto her. She opened the window and struggled out. "Alright," she whispered fiercly. "Climb onto the dresser, go towards the cold air and jump out." she said, quickly standing up and brushing herself off. "I'll catch you, i swear.'

Junichi nodded and did as she was told. As she reached the cold air, she gulped soundlessly. People her height shouldn't be jumping out of windows! But she knew - she knew Gaia wouldn't let her fall. Pushing her fear aside, she braved the jump.

Gaia caught Jun as best she could but they both fell back in the snow. Having one arm was a huge hassle. Jun could have gotten hurt. "Junichi, I'm so sorry." she stood up and helped Jun up and hugged her close once more. "Are you okay?"

Junichi gasped as she fell back into the snow. It was really cold! As she was helped to her feet and embraced once more, she replied, "Yes... I'm fine." She let a small smile grace her features. It was good to know someone cared. "We should hurry."

Gaia grabbed Jun's hand and ran. They ran until they reached a barn and Gaia slid to her feet. She only had one arm and Jun was blind. "This is going to be a little harder than I thought," she said quick;y. "Jun I don't think we can escape..." her lip quivered. She felt useless once again

"Jun I don't think we can escape..."
Junichi's features hardened. She had felt Gaia's change of emotions and it made her upset. "Don't give up, Gaia-San! We can do it. I... I just know it!" She sniffed the air and walked towards the area with the strongest scent (north) towards the two four-legged beasts. They whinnied and hoofed the ground as she drew nearer but she didn't stop. As she came close enough so that she could touch them, she held out her hand and allowed them to smell her. I won't let Gaia give up! she thought to herself. She smiled softly as the larger of the two beasts began nuzzling her hand. "Hey there, boy. We need to get out of here - do you think you can help?" She asked in a nonthreatening tone. A loud snort was her response and he took that as a yes. "Gaia," she called, "come here, please! I know it'll be hard, but we can use these beasts! It doesn't really matter where we go as long as we're away from here, right?" Junichi quickly hopped on the beast and held out a hand for Gaia to take in her own so she could help her get on the beast as well.

Jun's determination gave Gaia a strong sense of help as she grabbed Jun's hand, climbing onto the horse and looking back. "I believe in you, Junichi." she kissed her ear and hugged her around her waist with her one good arm.

Junichi blushed a bit as her ear was kissed but said nothing about it. It felt... good. With a swift motion, she nudged the beast's side with her foot and got it to move at a slow and steady rate before it finally took off running. "Hold on tight!" She whispered loudly.
